Nightwatch Relay

The Mac companion for Nightwatch. It runs in the menu bar, collects session updates from Claude Code and Codex, and pairs with your iPhone.

Install

1. Open the downloaded zip and move Nightwatch Relay to Applications.
2. Open it. A moon appears in the menu bar; choose Start Relay, then Set Up Hooks and Pair a Phone.

What it does on your Mac

• Installs a small relay in ~/.standby-relay and runs it at login with macOS’s built-in Python.
• With your go-ahead, adds hooks to ~/.claude/settings.json and ~/.codex/config.toml, keeping your other hooks and backing up both files first.
• Listens on port 8787 for your phone, over TLS.
• Checks nightwatch-daily.app once a day for a new version, and installs it when you choose Install Update.

To remove it: choose Stop Relay in the menu, quit the app, and delete it along with ~/.standby-relay and ~/Library/LaunchAgents/io.kkodiac.standby.relay.plist.
